# Exports

Play and stop the emotes from your own resources.

All exports are client side. The resource name contains hyphens, so always use bracket syntax:

```lua
exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:play('griddy')
```

#### play(name)

Plays an emote on the player, with its facial expression. `name` is the command name from the list, for example `'67'` or `'aurafarm'`.

Returns `true` when the emote started, `false` when the name is unknown or the player cannot emote right now.

```lua
local started = exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:play('siuuu')
```

#### stop()

Stops the current emote.

```lua
exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:stop()
```

#### isPlaying()

Returns whether an emote is playing, and its name.

```lua
local playing, name = exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:isPlaying()
```

#### list()

Returns every emote as a table of `{ name, clip, label, loop, dictionary }`.

```lua
for _, emote in ipairs(exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:list()) do
    print(emote.name, emote.label)
end
```

#### info()

Returns `{ label, description, count }` for the pack.

```lua
local pack = exports['solid-emotes-vol1']:info()
print(pack.label, pack.count)
```

#### Good to know

* **Keep the folder name `solid-emotes-vol1`.** Exports are called by resource name.
* **From the server**, trigger your own client event and call the export inside it.
